From the Duplex escapement of the pocket watches manufactured by the Bovet brothers in the 19th century to the six patents of the Braveheart Tourbillon presented in 2015, developments are always aimed at improving precision and the reliability while delivering user-friendliness and complications adapted to their time and to the collectors’ needs.
The Calibre à Spécialités Horlogères Virtuoso II is the first movement developed and manufactured entirely by watchmakers of the DIMIER Manufacture and to be regulated by a non-tourbillon movement. Five years of development has been needed to develop this movement. Specifically conceived and designed for the special features of different BOVET 1822 watches collections, this calibre has the ability to evolve and adapt to the type of indications it will be required to display. This caliber stood out for its dual display of hours and minutes on both sides of the movement, together with a seconds carriage.
The Amadeo® System
The Amadeo® System makes it possible to transform the BOVET watch into a reversible wristwatch, a pocket-watch, a miniature table clock and a pendant watch for the ladies. Moreover, this can be done without the bother of tools or watchmaking skills of any kind. In a few easy movements the BOVET timepiece can adapt to the whim of its owner.
